* "LOLER" stands for Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998. It's UK law requiring regular inspections of lifting equipment to ensure it's safe, suitable, and well-maintained. These inspections, performed by a competent person, assess the equipment's fitness for purpose, markings, maintenance records, and any damage.
